How to sew ➥ https://goo.gl/V5zJLK
Step1: With right sides together (RST) align the dart leg markings and sew together. Start at the base of the dart and sew to the tip. Your last stitch should go right off the edge of the fabric. Instead of backstitching tie your thread tails in a double knot. Press the darts downward.
Step2: Measure 20-24 down from the armhole pattern along the side seam, and sew pocket pattern to pants along the straight pocket edge, right sides together. Repeat for all pants patterns and pockets, making sure to sew them in the exact same spot on all pattern pieces.
Step3: With right sides together the front. Pin and sew from middle the neck line to front crotch seam and press
Step4: With Right sides together the front and facing. Pin and sew.
Step5: Using a pair of sharp fabric scissors, clip notches into the seam allowance around the neckline. Make sure not to accidentally clip your sewn line when you are cutting, but get as close to the stitches as possible. This will ensure that your neckline lays nice and flat when wearing.
To help ensure the facing stays securely on the inside of the dress, you may want to understitch the neckline facing. To do this, press the facing and the seam up and away from the neckline. Carefully sew along the seam, 1/8 inch away from the neckline stitches, securing the facing and the seam together. Once finished, turn the facing inside the dress and press.
Step6: With right sides together the front and back. Fold the facing towards the same main fabric. Pin and sew shoulders
Step7: With RST sew the sleeve into the arm openings. Sew and clip seams. Repeat for other sleeve
Step8: Fold sleeve hem 1/2" towards the wrong side and press. pin and sew a long straight stitch. Repeat for other sleeve
Step10: Put the strap middle the right side of side seams the front and back. Pin and sew with the pockets sticking out at the sides. Repeat with other side
Step11: Sew back crotch and add zipper at the back
Step12: Pin and sew the inner leg seam, finish all seams and press.

DeleteHow on earth does one go to the bathroom with an outfit like this???
ReplyDeleteYou basically need to undress to go to the bathroom. I truly love the look of jumpsuits, but they aren't practical for me to wear for very long. I did download this pattern because I think it's too cute.
DeleteThank you so much for letting me know! I'll pass on this one then :-)
